Marians Grass Cutting Services LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company doing business as Marian’s Grass Cutting Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”), provides residential and commercial lawn care and field services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from our customers and website visitors, how we use and protect that information, and the choices you have regarding your information.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to provide quotes, schedule and complete services, communicate with you, and process payments. The categories of information we may collect include:

  • Contact information: name, mailing or service address, phone number, and email address.
  • Service details: property information, service preferences, gate codes, and notes you provide so we can perform the work.
  • Communication records: messages you send to us by text, email, voicemail, or web form, and our responses.
  • Billing information: invoice details and payment records. Credit and debit card numbers are processed by our third-party payment processors and are not stored by us.
  • Property images: photographs of your property that we take during estimates and service visits, used to maintain accurate records of the property between visits and, in some cases, for marketing purposes as described in Section 4.
  • Website information: information collected automatically when you use our website, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URLs, and similar technical data. We use Google Analytics and the analytics tools provided by our website host (GoDaddy) to collect and process this information so we can understand how visitors use our site and improve it.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide estimates, schedule appointments, and perform lawn care and related services.
  • Plan and optimize our service routes using mapping and routing tools (including the Google Routes API) so we can serve our customers efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of your property between visits using photographs taken during estimates and service visits, so we can recall the property layout, condition, and any special instructions without re-visiting for follow-up estimates.
  • Use selected property photographs in marketing materials, including before-and-after photos posted on our website, our Google Business Profile, and other third-party platforms where we maintain a business presence (such as social media). When property photos are used for marketing, we do not include personal identifying information such as customer names, full addresses, or contact details. If you would prefer that photos of your property not be used for marketing, please contact us at the information in Section 13 and we will exclude your property from marketing materials.
  • Send appointment reminders, schedule changes, on-the-way notifications, and follow-ups.
  • Send invoices, payment confirmations, receipts, and account updates.
  • Respond to questions, requests, and customer service issues.
  • Send operational notices related to your scheduled services, including end-of-season notices when your final cut of the season is scheduled, and similar service-related updates.
  • Communicate with current and past customers about service availability, including occasional seasonal outreach by phone, email, or person-to-person text from our primary business line. These outreach communications are not part of our automated SMS Program described in Section 5.
  • Maintain our business records and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

5. Text Messaging (SMS) Program

We use a dedicated business phone number, (570) 944-3534, through Jobber to send and receive text messages with our customers. This section explains our SMS practices and your rights.

Consent

By providing your mobile phone number to Marian’s Grass Cutting Services—whether through a quote request, a service form, our website, or directly—you agree to receive text messages from us at that number related to the services we provide. You may opt out at any time as described below.

Types of messages you may receive

  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, and on-the-way notifications.
  • Schedule changes due to weather or other circumstances.
  • Quotes, invoices, and payment-related messages.
  • Replies to questions you send us.
  • Operational notices related to your scheduled services (such as end-of-season notices when your final cut of the season is scheduled).

The SMS Program is used for transactional and customer-care communications only. We do not use the SMS Program to send promotional or marketing messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your service schedule and your communications with us. Most customers receive only a few messages per service visit.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan. Marian’s Grass Cutting Services does not charge a fee to send or receive text messages.

Opting out

You can stop receiving text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you further automated text messages. You can also ask us to remove your number by calling or emailing us using the contact information in Section 2.

For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the information in Section 2.

No sharing of mobile information for marketing

No mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information sharing with subcontractors that support our messaging service (for example, our customer management platform Jobber and the underlying messaging carrier) is limited to what is necessary to deliver messages and is governed by their own privacy and security obligations.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below:

  • Service providers we rely on. We use trusted third-party tools to run our business. These currently include: Jobber (customer management, scheduling, invoicing, and text messaging); our payment processors (for processing card payments); GoDaddy (website hosting and analytics); Google (Google Analytics for website analytics, the Google Routes API for service-route planning, and Google Business Profile for our business listing and customer-facing photos); and the social media and directory platforms where we maintain a business presence. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services and are required to keep it confidential under their own terms.
  • Public marketing materials. As described in Section 4, we may publish photographs of your property on our website, on our Google Business Profile, and on third-party platforms (such as social media) for marketing purposes, without identifying customer names or contact information. You may opt out of this use at any time by contacting us.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may share information when required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. If our business is sold or transferred, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Notwithstanding the categories above, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for any purpose. SMS opt-in information is treated separately from the general sharing categories described in this section and is not transferred, sold, rented, or otherwise disclosed to any third party.

7. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We store customer information in industry-standard, password-protected business systems, including our customer management platform (Jobber) and our business accounting software. Access to customer information is limited to the owner and authorized personnel who need it to perform their work. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using practices appropriate to the size and nature of our business.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep customer information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support recurring service relationships, respond to questions, and meet our tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations. You may ask us to delete your information as described in Section 9.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You have the following choices regarding the information we hold about you:

  • Update your information. Contact us to correct or update your contact details or service preferences.
  • Request a copy. You may ask what information we have on file about you.
  • Request deletion. You may ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep for tax, legal, or accounting purposes.
  • Opt out of texts. Reply STOP to any text message from us, or contact us directly.
  • Opt out of marketing emails. If you receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

11. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or applicable law.
